I LOVE THANKSGIVING! I think too many times, we rush through this holiday, in order to get to Christmas. That bothers me because I think too many of us forget to be thankful. We simply take our blessings for granted, and I think that is sad.
Thanksgiving is about stopping (at least for a moment), and thanking God for the blessings that He gives to us. We live in a country that is free. We live in beautiful houses. We have food in our pantry. We have a car in the garage. We have parents and grandparents that take care of us. Someone may be sacrificing to make sure we are getting a Christian education at Goodpasture. Although, those things are "second nature" to most of us, those things are blessings.
So, just stop for a moment, and think of ONE (yes, only one!) thing for which you are thankful this year. What is your biggest blessing? Why is that so important to you?
Mine would be my family. They are my life, and they are God's biggest blessing to me -- every day and in every way.

I’m thankful for all the fun opportunities that are happening/ happened this month! I was in the 7th/8th grade play, I’m going to Charleston for a convention, I’m seeing Cats and Singing in the Rain, and I’m excited for Thanksgiving and Black Friday! The majority of these things are already payed for and I’m so blessed to be doing all of them.
ReplyDeleteI am most thankful for my family. We have so much fun on Thanksgiving watching and playing football. Also, my mom and grandmother make such good food. My family makes this holiday so fun.
ReplyDeleteI am most thankful for being able to get a Christian, private education. I know not everyone can afford schools like Goodpasture, so I try and make the most of my opportunity. I’m thankful that I get to have wonderful and kind teachers, who lead me in a good direction for my education.
ReplyDeleteI am most thankful for life and my family and friends. I’m waiting for thanksgiving so I can see other family member’s and sit around and talk and eat. I blessed for life and having a good family to take care of me and i tank them for that.
ReplyDeleteI am mostly thankful for my almighty God he has gave many blessings. I am also very thankful for my family they have supported me since Day 1 and they all love me. I am also thankful for my friends and my poultry they all are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI am most thankful for my family. We from now on always go to the beach for thanksgiving with my grandparents and eat shrimp on the beach! I am thankful for me and my family to get to be able to do this.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that I am a Christian and I get a lot of opportunities that most people don’t have. For example, I go to a private Christian school that cost a lot for me to go here, so I try to make the most of it. I’m also glad that I have wonderful friends and teachers that will lead me through a great journey here.

I am thankful for the family that I have, because some people don’t have a connected family or not close. Lastly I am thankful for the house that I live in, because some people don’t get that luxury of living in a house.
